SJO Productions: My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross Series: Charlotte: 7.17.2010

Well, I have been slacking on this thing, but I am back with another post. This past weekend marked the 3rd trip to the Eaton County Fairgrounds in Charlotte, Michigan for the SJO Productions My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross Series. It was a very good round, it seemed like this had a lot bigger turn out and much better track conditions for sure! The racing was very tight and action packed! SJO Productions: My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross Series: Muskegon: 6.25.2010

On Friday evening, the SJO My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross made another appearance to the Muskegon County Fairgrounds in Muskegon, Michigan. It was scheduled to be there 3rd stop there, but the event on May 8th was cancelled due to rain! However, this time was a very different story. The crew did an amazing job making sure the track conditions were good enough for some intense and tight racing, and the racers did not disappoint, several of the classes had battles for most every position! Unfortunately due to lack of preparation on my part, I was only able to shoot about halfway through the first motos! I was able to get 614 photos total though! Dan Petrie of Sunfield, Michigan was on the gas! He piloted his Petrie Farms and Trucking Kawasaki's to 5 of 6 moto wins!

SJO Productions: My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross Series: Fremont: 6.11.2010

Round 4 of the SJO Productions “My Auto Michigan Fair Supercross Series rolled into Fremont Friday night. I was a little tentative on this event, there were thunderstorms in the forecast, so I wasn’t sure if the trip was going to be worth while for me. However, I decided to head out and I am glad I did! The racing was great! A lot of intense battles on the tight Fremont track. Although it rained for maybe a total of 3 minutes, it did not ruin my day! I was very pleased to see a few of the Team JQ Entertainment riders racing at or near the front of the pack all night! Well, its been a while since I’ve last posted on here, I folded on some recent events that I had planned on attending. However, I am writing to update you on some of the recent happenings for JQ Entertainment. Well, Sunday marked day 2 of 2 out in Charlotte, Michigan. I would like to thank the Petrie family for their hospitality this weekend, without that, this weekend would’ve been much harder! Once again, the racing out at the Eaton County Fairgrounds was great, a lot of close racing and bar banging. The sun was out all day, and that helped out the crew with the track a little. I had a great time at this race, I was definitely tired from all the weekend had in store for me, but all in all, everything turned out fine. This weekend marked a doubleheader for the SJO Productions crew as they held 2 rounds of bar banging action in Charlotte, Michigan at the Eaton County Fairgrounds. Race 1 of 2 in Charlotte, the track was really rough, the ruts were so deep after only a few laps of being ridden. The racing was great however! Loretta Lynn’s Area Qualifiers: Dutch Sport Park: 5.22.2010

This weekend Dutch Sport Park in Bloomingdale, Michigan hosted the AMA Amateur Nationals Mideast Area Qualifier, I made the trip out in the morning as I was scheduled to shoot at another race that evening, I could not stay for the whole event. The track conditions were pretty bad at first, there had been some rain the nights before, and it took its toll on the track and the pits! However, the racing was still very exciting. Open Practice: Big Air Motocross: 5.19.2010

Well, yesterday I headed up to Big Air Motocross for their standard Wednesday Open Practice. The weather was pretty much amazing the whole time, although it did sprinkle for all of about 5 minutes! I arrived early and it was pretty slow at first, fortunately more and more people kept showing up. It turned out pretty good. The track was pretty damp due to the recent watering, but overall, it looked pretty good. I decided to move around the track a little more, to get a different perspective of things, and I think the pictures turned out nice. You can see the full gallery on my smugmug page.
